almost done in copenhagen

only a few days left in Copenhagen, i leave on Thursday around noon and get back to Minnesota on friday around noon (i have a strange flight back)

first of all, i have more pictures, these are ones that my host family took

December has been great in Denmark so far. Christmas is everywhere and a lot of fun. I watch 3 Christmas series on tv each night with my family (each one is about 10-20 mins long). Lots of Christmas food and cookies. just an overall good vibe around the city. My host family also bought julekalendar (xmas calendar) scratch off tickets for each of us and you scratch of a piece each day until Christmas.

There has also been a lot of birthdays in December.

We celebrated oliver's birthday a few weekends back. It was a lot of fun, over 30 people came to the house and we ate a big meal and sat around and talked for a while (in true danish style)
sang happy birthday to oliver, etc it was a good time

I went to katharina's (oliver's cousin) birthday party some time after oliver's birthday, it was fun, more sitting around and talking and eating. it was nice to talk to a dane that speaks really good english (she spent time studying in london).

this saturday, i went to a friend of the families birthday party. not much english was spoken but i did meet a guy that worked for microsoft in denmark and he spoke good english

saturday night we celebrated lynsey bernfelds birthday. we meet up at a kollegium a little south of the city and hung out there for a while before heading to a really cool club in norrebro. it was one of the best nights in Copenhagen and a great way to celebrate lynsey's birthday

and on non-bday notes:

i went to the FCK (soccer team) uefu cup game against rosenbaun (norway's best team) and that was great. FCK tied the game in the 84th minute and the stadium went crazy but it ended in a draw

i watched the danish woman's handball team play in the European championship last week on tv and that was a lot of fun. they didn't win which was kind of disappointing. they are really good, when they didn't win gold in Beijing this summer it was like the first time in 3 or 4 olympics.

i went to a less than jake concert at Vega a few backs with lynsey and that was awesome. i hadn't really listened to them much before but they were really good

Danmark, t-shirts, and solace

On weds, lynsey and I went to the Danmark-Wales friendly soccer match at brondby stadium. The weather wasn't the greatest, it was cold and misting but it was a lot of fun. We sat with the denmark fanclub right behind one of the goals. we were right next to the two guys that brought big drums. so we sang a long with a lot of the songs and chants during the game, which was pretty awesome. Unfortunately danmark lost 1-0 but it was a good game and danmark had a lot of good chances at the end of the game, including hitting the post in stoppage time. I'm glad i went, as it will be the last time i'll get to see the national team play.

In my creative industries class we had been working in groups on a t-shirt assignment to make a new DIS tshirt to possibly sell next term. Anyways, my group "won" so there is a good chance they will sell the t-shirts next term, unfortunately i probs won't get one since i will already be back in america. But it was still fun to work with a group to create a t-shirt. A picture of the front is below, the back just says copenhagen at the bottom.

Finally, tonight i went to Quantum of Solace (the new bond movie) with my host family.

papers, movies, and a party

hey everyone,

well, i don't have anymore exciting travels to try to condense into a blog entry but I have been having fun back in Copenhagen.

After getting back I went with my tine and oliver (host mom and host brother) to the planetarium to see the permanent exhibit about planets and then see an imax movie about ancient deep sea creatures. Unfortunately the imax stuff wasn't working so after sitting in the theather for like 45 minutes waiting, the imax people eventually gave up and we went home. but we did get free tickets, so we ended up goign back and watching it next week, and bo (my host father) came along also.

Friday, the 7th of nov, was j-day and was a lot of fun. The danish word for christmas is Jul but it is not the day that danes celebrate jesus's birthday but the day they celebrate the introduction of christmas beer. To help the celebration, tuborg (a danish beer company) has employees dress up in christmas stuff (elf hats, santa beards, etc) and drive around in big trucks from bar to bar giving away free beer. usually the trucks only drive about a block or so between bars, so a big crowd follows the trucks, singing jingle bells in danish and english and having a jolly time. So some friends from my business program and I followed the trucks around for a while and managed to get some free stuff like hats, fake beards, a blue santa coat, and so on. that was a lot of fun and after that we just hung out in the city for a while. all in all a good friday

On saturday i went to the exploratarium with tine and oliver. it was like a science center but bigger and with better things to play aroud with. i had a great time even through most of the stuff was aimed at a younger audience than me. but it wasn't all kids stuff, they had other stuff, but the kids stuff was the best, no lie. That was a lot of fun.

On sunday i went with lynsey, xiao, and anju (all carleton kids) to another FCK soccer game. FCK won 4-0, so that was really cool but it is starting to get a little cold for soccer games, it was really windy. speaking of weather the last week was rainy and dark for the majority of the time, not a lot of fun and the days are getting really short here. i got up at 10 am the other day and it was still dark, it started getting dark around 4 in the afternoon. the worst part is the days will start getting longer the day after i get back to the states.

The last week was pretty busy starting to write some big papers for classes. I had 3 papers due today and one due tomorrow. i think i have written almost 30 pages in the last week, good times. Glad to get a lot of that out of the way.

This past weekend i didn't do a lot, went into the city and chilled with people for a few hours on friday night. Saturday was the annual meeting for my host parents lotto club. It was at our house, so about 11 adults and 5 kids came over. We ate so much good food, it was amazing. Smoked salmon and shrimp for starters. A really good cut of venison that was baked and wrapped in bacon for the main course and some apple pie for dessert. It was great and i was really full. We also blind taste tested some wine and tried to guess where it was from and what year it was made. I played some wii with the kids and also played a board game about wine that was in danish that i didn't understand at all but i had a partner so it was ok.

I'm excited, i'm going to another Denmark national soccer game on weds. They are playing wales in a friendly international match, should be a good time.

athens

it was great to get to see so many people in athens. we got into athens in the evening and after we got to jessie briol's apartment we had a great dinner with jessie, jessie's mom, and her friend. I like going out to eat in athens because they often give you something at the end of the meal on the house. that night we got a tray of apple slices with honey on them, they were really good

the next day we decided to climb the highest hill in athens. the view of athens was great! athens is such a big city, they pack about 3 million people into not that large of an area without using skyscapers or other tall buildings. we chilled on the top for a while, took some pictures. i found out how much i liked the greece flag (its so awesome fyi). after the hill climb we walked around the city for a while, ended up exploring this cool little "city" below the acropolis.

next day abby got in from israel and ryan farkus came back from his travels (he is studying in greece on the same program jessie is doing). we decided to head to the acropolis, see the parthenon and all of that good stuff. it was great, i'm glad i was able to see that. so much history in greece, its crazy to think about how old so many things in athens are. that night ryan farkus cooked rabbit stew for us and something else that i can't remember, it was very very tasty. we also got the see the changing of the guards in front of parliament. it is a pretty strange ritual, def worth seeing.

on thursday, abby, lynsey and i decided to try and take a day trip to one of the islands close to athens. the plan was to take the metro to the port and from there a ferry to the island. unfortunately the metro workers were on strike and we forced to figure out the bus system to get to the port, we ended up on a super crowded bus (since everyone was taking the bus instead of the metro) and rode it for about an hour before talking to someone and realizing we had gone too far. we got off and walked a little ways backwards and eventually found the port but by the time we got to where the ferry to the island left we were one minute late and the next ferry didn't leave for a while, we decided that it wasn't worth it, cause we wanted to be back in time to have dinner with jessie and ryan, and we got back on the bus and headed back towards the center of the city. that night we went to a halloween party at jessie and ryan's school, they gave us really good food (some souvlaki, french fries, pita, etc) after some dancing at the halloween party we headed out and found some really good gelato.

the next day lynsey and i departed for copenhagen (luckily we did have sterling tickets back)

Madrid

i got into Madrid around the middle of the day on weds. I meet lynsey at the hostel that we were staying at and we decided to explore the city a little bit. The weather wasn't very good, it was cold and raining but we were excited to see madrid. First we got some "churros con chocolate" from a little coffee shop just off of plaza mayor. The churros were pretty good and we kept walking. All of the sudden we walk around a corner and randomly run into the royal palace (real palace) and the really big cathedral next door. We were both amazed at the sheer greatness of both buildings and walked around and took pictures for a while. We continued through some parks and such, taking more pictures, and eventually we meet up with Kathryn for dinner. After dinner we meet up with some other carls that are studying in madrid (jojo, alfredo, eli, etc) and had some sangraia in this cool little place in the basement of a building.

The next day the weather was much nicer and we headed out on our adventures, lynsey and I went on a tour of the royal palace (yes we got to go inside but we couldn't take pictures), it was so amazing inside, its hard to describe. Irene got in on her flight during the day and we meet up with her, she was always staying at the same hostel, so that was cool. Lynsey and I ended up hanging out that night with a couple girls we meet at the hostel, one was from panama and the other was from south africa. They were both really cool and we ended up going back to the basement bar for sangraia again. They are trying to find an apartment to live in madrid for a few months.

Friday we went on this really cool free walking tour of madrid, it lasted 3.5 hours and saw so many different things, ate tapas, and learned a lot about the history of spain and madrid. I thought that a 3.5 walking tour was goign to be pretty boring and too long but i really enjoyed it and the time past quickly. after that we took a nap in the big park in madrid ( i think i slept for over an hour on a bench, it was awesome) after that we headed for some really good gelato from a shop on the way back to the hostel.

saturday after sleeping in for a while, we headed over to the museo del prado. there is a crazy amount of famous art works there ( in the thousands) including picasso's Guernica. after some more churros con chocolate we chilled at the hostel for a while before finding a indian restraunt for dinner. Sunday moring we woke up early (even earlier than planned since we forgot about day light savings) and headed to the really big open air market, it was crazy once it got going, it took a really long time just to walk through it and there was so much stuff. Sunday night we headed to the Real Madrid game. This was one of my favorite parts of traveling, the game was insane, the stadium is huge. It seats 80,000 (used to seat 120,000 but they had to conform to UEFA regulations) and there were only a couple empty seats at the game we went to. even through we sat way up in the nose bleeds it was so much fun, the atmosphere was amazing. The place went nuts when the other teams was awarded a pk during the first half when real madrid was winning 1-0, it was pretty crazy. Real ended up winning 3-2 but it was a close game, the other team hit the post with a couple minutes left in regulation.

Monday we headed to the airport to fly to athens.

Amsterdam

i got back on friday from all of my travels, i had an amazing time seeing, doing, going, etc to all of the places that i made it to. But i am very glad to be back in copenhagen in a familar bed.

first stop was amsterdam, i spent about a day and half in amsterdam, which turned out to be the perfect amount of time to spend there. amsterdam was great, canals everywhere, friendly people, windmills, and a great vibe. i had a lot of fun exploring the city on foot. the first night i just walked around the center of the city and explored. The next day i took off to see more of the city. first i walked around the harbor. I then headed to see one of amsterdam's few remaining windmills. After this i went to three open air markets, which was cool, they had a lot of crazy and random thigns. i ran into the filming of a daily show segment twice, something about dutch people not being able to vote for obama because they aren't american, and they gave me a button, so that was cool.
later that day i meet this australian couple saying at the hostel and i hung out with them and another girl from the hostel for a while but they all went back to the hostel pretty early. So i bought some french fries (vincent wasn't lying when he said they drown in mayonnaise) and was walking around when i ran into molly and her friend (molly is in my business program in copenhagen). They were hanging out with some aussie guys (aussies are everwhere in europe) so i chilled with them for the rest of the night. 4am the next morning i headed for madrid (via ryanair which was a huge mistake, never trust ryanair)

london-brussels

I am just finishing up packing for my next two weeks of travel (amsterdam=madrid-athens) so i thought i would update my blog quick. London and Brussels were both amazing in their own ways. I traveled this past week with my economics class, we went to different business meetings and such. London was great, i love being in a big city, you can really feel something different in london. Being able to see the big tourist attractions (big ben, buckingham palace, etc.) was fun and being to just spend time chilling in london was a great experience. We got to go to the european bank of reconstruction and development, similar to the world bank but they invest with a hope of a return unlike the world bank who more gives out money, and had a presentation in the board of directors boardroom, it was a great. We went on a walking tour of london's east end and also meet with london transport (they are in charge of the london underground, buses, and other public transportation in london. I also got to meet up with kerry york for a little bit and that was fun, she is studying in london currently.

After london we took a train to brussels, it lasted about 2 hours but seemed like 5 minutes to me as i feel asleep before i could turn my ipod on ( i slept holding my ipod the whole ride but not listening to it). My econ classmates liked hanging out at night and we had to get up early for business meetings and everything else we had planned for the day so i got very little sleep during the week. After arriving in brussels we had an amazing 3 course meal, which was consistent with the majority of the meals that DIS paid for. In brussels we stayed at this chinese hotel which was weird since everything was in french and chinese and some english. I really enjoyed walking around brussels, it is a gorgeous city and had some many great buildings. The grand place (a square in the middle of the city) was amazing and one of the coolest places i have been. There were chocolate stores everywhere and on the last day we visited chocolate planet for a presentation about making chocolate. For dinner one night i had belgium waffles with strawberries, bannanas, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce and it was one of the best things i have ever tasted. We also got to visit EU Parliament in brussels which was an amazing visit. Our tour was given by a former member of parliament who still works at parliament and we got a full behind the scenes look at the EU parliament. Our tour guide was a little crazy but a great guy and very funny. Friday night we headed back to copenhagen with a 13 hour bus ride, we got into copenhagen around 9 am and i headed home to sleep most of the day away.

I must finish packing now before it gets too late here.

midterm week

I'm almost done with midterm week, i'm studying for my last midterm currently, which i will take this afternoon. its a been a pretty stressful week with 4 midterms and trying to get everything set in stone for the travel break. I think the only thing left is to actually book the hostel we picked in madrid.

We don't leave for our study tour until sunday (they had orginally told us saturday) and this means that i am able to go to a danish national soccer game (they are playing malta in a world cup qualifier) I'm really glad that i will be able to see a national game at parken and there has a been a lot of buzz about the danish team after they beat portugual on the road a few weeks back in their first world cup qualifier match. I also am getting into the game for free because I am going to help my family sell programs before the game starts. So not only will i make some money before the game starts (we get paid like a dollar per program we sell) but i also get into the game that is almost sold out (only single seat tickets left).

Around noon on sunday we fly to london for three nights. We are going to be staying in london's east ending (in hotels this time instead of hostels), we are going to Spamalot (monty python musical comedy) and a few business meetings.

Weds we take the train down to brussels for the rest of the study tour. We are going to get a tour of the EU parliament and meet with a few other business (not sure of the specifics) After brussels it's a long bus ride back to copenhagen. Then two days in copenhagen before flying out for amsterdam-madrid-athens.

vistors, vega, and more pictures

abby, kira, and erica visited copenhagen for the last few days (they left thurs morning)
it was a lot of fun to see them and be able to hang out with them and do stuff around the city

monday night we went to rosh hashanah service with lynsey and a few other DIS students. That was interesting (about half the service was in hebrew and the other half in english). After service we got some hot dogs in the center of the city and walked around on the walking streets (cars can't drive on them).

Tuesday we meet in the city for breakfast and i went to the library to work on a presenation and they went to morning service. That night they all came over for a dinner with my host family at my house. We had a lot of fun after dinner; playing wii sports, foosball, and listening to music with my host brother. After a while we headed into the city for the rest of the night and had a great time.

Weds i worked on a project for a class i had at night. They went on canel tours and such in the city and at night we all hung out at erica's friend in denmark's house until the wee hours of the morning when they had to leave to catch their flight.

Tonight (thursday) i went with my creative industries class to Vega (a nightclub/music venue) one of the most popular places in copenhagen. we went on a behind the scenes look at how everything runs there and after that got to go to a concert, a really good belgium band was playing there.

also, i bought all of my plane tickets for my study tour, the only change is that i'm coming back to copenhagen for the weekend after brussels because anna and two of her friends are going to be in copenhagen and i want to be able to hang out with them

here are some pictures:

travel break plans

since my last post i have gone to two FCK soccer games and both were a lot of fun. On sunday we watched FCK beat the defending danish league champs (Aab) 3-0
Last night (weds) we saw them beat another danish team 2-1
we had great seats among some fun fans who stood the whole game and sang songs for the majority of the game
it was a great atmosphere and i can't wait for the next FCK game

i'm the process of trying to finalize my travel break plans. After my one week study tour to london and brussels i have two weeks off. Right now i'm planning on going straight to amsterdam after we finsh in brussels for a few days. Then flying to madrid for about 5 days. After that heading to athens for about another 5 days before heading back to copenhagen to start class again. I'm really excited to be on the road and see more of europe. Any suggestions of interesting things to do/see/whatever while in those cities would be greatly appreciated also.

On saturday i'm going to a social event with my family with an organization that they belong to. I think we are going to a restaurant for lunch and then coming back to our house with everyone for dessert and relaxing. Should be a lot of danish but a fun time.

Also, i'm going on a DIS lead fishing program on sunday, should be a lot of fun to get a little some-what deep sea fishing in. Hopefully the nice weather will hold.

tivoli

Hey everyone,

so, on weds of this week i got to go to Tivoli (an amusement park in Copenhagen) with my creative industries class for a field study. we went at around 11 am and the park was almost emptied so we tried most of the rides including the star flyer (the world's tallest carousal at 80 meters, about 262 feet) and pictured below:
after spending a decent amount of time in tivoli i headed to "Club 36". Club 36 is an after school program for muslim kids to come and do a variety of activities like go on the computer, watch tv, play pool, get help with homework, etc. I went and helped tutor kids with their english and math homework. This turned out to be somewhat difficult, explaining hard math problems can be tough to someone in their second language, but i had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back.

After Club 36 i ended up going back to tivoli (i had an all day wristband) and spent some of the night there with Lynsey and her host family. Tivoli is awesome at night, lights everywhere. I'll try to get some pictures from Lynsey.

Also, i have tickets to the two next FCK games (sunday and weds) and can't wait to go to both.

Friday night i ended up going to a social event with my host parents (someone cancelled at the last minute) We went to the copenhagen main police building and went on a tour (which was in danish) and then headed for dinner at this musuem. The restraunrt was on the 5th floor and had an amazing view of the city. The food was really good and it was a lot of fun to talk to everyone (it was people from my host mom's work.

Also, here is picture i stole from someone with our study tour group outside of Jyske bank.

Also, Abby, Kira, and Erica are coming to Copenhagen in about a week to visit. There are on break from Hebrew U. Should be a good time.

short study tour

so, i just returned this evening (saturday) from my short study tour to western denmark.  It was a lot of fun and it was great to see a different part of the country.  My study tour is with part of the IBE (International Business and Economics) program students.

We started off the day before we left by visiting the NASDAQ OMX exchange in copenhagen. We got about an hour presentation from someone that works there.  On paper this sounds like a great visit, but it was not at all.  We basically were ushered into a big room and listened to the presentation they give to potential investors by someone who spoke decent english.   we didn't get to see any of the actual exchange and didn't really learn anything that coudln't be found out by reading the company's bio.

Luckly, past performance was not a good indication of future results and the rest of the visits were interesting, education, and 100x better.  On Thursday we got on a bus on headed to western denmark.  Our first stop was at the Silkeborg Art musuem, which had some really cool modern abstract paintings.

Next, we headed to Jyske Bank hq's for a presentation and tour.  Jyske bank is the second largest danish bank and is doing some interesting and new things in the field of personal banking.  Their banks are very unique and they have found different ways to package what appears to be simple and boring banking things.  Kind of hard to describe but it is cool what they are doing.

We stayed in hostels during the trip and the first night we stayed in this little town way out there.  It seemed like a ghost town when we got there at about 7 on thursday night.  But the hostels we stayed at were nice.

On friday we spent the better part of the morning at Vestas, the worldwide leader in the production of wind turbines.  They are rapidly expanding (they hope to double in size in three years) due to the massive surge in demand for alternative energy.  We got an in-depth tour of the factory that they build part of the turbines in and that was really cool.  Due to their rapid expansion they were not subtle about their opening of a plant in america and their need for more employees.  It sounds like an interesting and fast moving field to be in.

After vestas, we visited the north sea for a short amount of time and headed to our next hostel.  After dinner, we went to one of the strangest things i have ever witnessed.  It was "The beach boys in the wild west" production.  they sang parts of beach boys songs but in a wild west style.  for the first half they were dressed as cowboys and in the second half as indians  (but very politicaly incorrect)       it was crazy stuff with lots of "flying" people and musicans.  so that was different.

On saturday we went to Odense (the third largest city in denmark) and the city where Hans Christian Anderson was born.  We took a tour, had lunch, and explored the town on our own for a while.  after that we headed back to copenhagen

yeah, so i had a great time and it was fun to get to know the people in my group better.  i'm really excited for the week study tour in october to london and brussels, it should be a great time.   well, i'm really tired from all the traveling, adventures, and all around shenanigans.   Also, i'll try to steal some pictures from people on the trip and post them on here for you guys to see.  And on a sadder note, the FCK soccer game on sunday got moved until later in the month, so tomorrow i will be biking to a beer festival with my host family.  And i'm going to Tivoli (the amusement park) on weds with my creative industries for an "experience economy" assignment.

some picture from the Brondby-FCK game and some stories

Here are a couple of pics from the brondby-fck game that lynsey took and was awesome enough to let me post on here.

so, this past weekend was a lot of fun
friday night, irene, lynsey, and I prepared a huge meal at lynsey's house for her host family
the food turned out great and it was a lot of fun meeting lynsey's host family even through i spilled my glass of wine all over the table while trying to pass the bowl of chicken.

On saturday my host family took me north to a big castle called Kronborg.  It was very cool to see the huge castle, we got to explore the underground tunnels that connected the castle and the view from the castle was great, you can see sweden across the water  (its about half a mile away).  After we saw everything at the castle we walked around town and had some famous ice cream (i'm not sure why its "famous"  but it is)

sunday morning i went with my host family to a birthday friend (one of oliver's friends).  It was a lot of fun, ate a lot of food and played lawn hockey  (like street hockey but with a wiffle ball and on grass)

The first study tour (the short one)  starts on thursday morning and goes until saturday night.  We will be touring western denmark and staying in hostels.  I think we are going to a couple business meetings, a museum, and the north shore.  I'm excited to see the denmark that resides outside of copenhagen.

I was going to try to play soccer for a copenhagen men's club but am not going to continue because the 90 minute one way commute was too long and it didn't fit into my schedule well
However, once ramadan is done i will be coaching a kids soccer team with kids from the middle east.  I am very excited for that because there are some negative attitudes towards muslims in denmark for a variety of reasons and immigration is a very hot and divided topic here.  Since they dont' play during ramadan, i will volunteer at an after school program for kids that are having trouble fitting in.  I will help with boxing and tutor kids in english.  I haven't gone yet, but am also excited for that.

and we have been playing a lot of wii sports and now we have two controls which makes it a lot more fun
oliver is really good but i finally beat him in bowling once
for the past couple of nights we have been playing a couple of games of bowling with the whole family which has been great

that's all for now

first picture from denmark

also, the title of my blog  "Denmark? That's in North Dakota right?"  is the question that i was asked while getting my haircut in Bemidji

Everyone thinks i'm danish

This is my first attempt at posting on my blog, i'm at the DIS (Danish institute for study abroad) library so i won't be able to post pics right now. Also, my camera is broken at the moment and therefore i won't be posting my pictures until i figure that out.

So i got into copenhagen about a week ago, the flight went great. I am living with a host family in the suburbs. My host parents are Bo and Tine and they have an 11 year old son named Oliver. Oliver just got a Wii and plays it all the time, its a lot of fun and i play it with him sometimes. The family is really cool and have a nice house, its not very big, but i like it.

I had orienation for the first couple days, they showed us around downtown and stuff, i took a few pics while my camera was still working. Downtown has a good setup, they have a few walking only streets with a lot of cool shops. About a third of the population bikes every day in denmark so they are bikes everywhere, it took a little getting used to.

The suburb i live in is about a thirty minute train ride or so from the city but right now the train station by my house is being repaired or somethign and i have to take a bus to another train line. Now it takes me almost an hour to get into the city.

Due to my blonde hair, somewhat blue eyes, and nordic looks all the danes here think i'm danish until i talk. A bunch of people have started talking to me on the bus in danish and in other places. The worst was on sunday when i was in a netto (a groccery store), wearing a white soccer jersey, and a guy comes up to me and asks, in danish;
`where is the spagetti?´
so i tell him i don't speak danish, only english and he is really surpised
so he asks in english, where is the spagetti?´
i tell him i don't work here and then some lady comes up to me and is like you work here?

wow, i'm writing a lot, i will have to save some stories for the next post and try to not ramble as much

On saturday, my host family had a big party and i got to hang out, eat, and drink all day with the extended family. It was so much fun and we played soccer for a few minutes with everyone, it was a great day, i ate so much food i couldn't move by the end of the day

On sunday, we went to the biggest soccer rivalry in denmark (fc copenhagen vs brøndby)
they are both copenhagen teams and they hate each other
i went with five people and we cheered for fc copenhagen even through the game was at brøndby, which was a dangerous thing to do
over a hunderd people were arrested before the game started
the fc copenhagen section was fenced off from the rest of the seats and with security surrounding it
and a couple guys spit on lynsey and I while we were walking outside the stadium (we were wearing fc copenhagen jerseys) so it was pretty crazy
unfortunately brønby won 1-0 but it was fun to go to a game that people cared so much about

well i need to go meet my survial danish class for dinner so i will write more later and post some pictures when i get the chance
